Hi Friends! If you saw my stories yesterday, you know that a) it's been a minute since I've showed up on this app and that has been for a variety of reasons that I won't really get into now because it's not what is relevant..
and b) that my beloved George had to have emergency surgery on her abdomen on Tuesday night because she got herself into a pickle and ate some things that she shouldn't have... again.
.
George is my heart dog. She's me as a dog. She has been there for so many milestones with me, and because I wasn't ready to lose her, we did surgery. Swipe if you want to read her story. Make no mistake, if we hadn't done surgery Tuesday night, George wouldn't be here today.

I am so insanely lucky to have my cousin and his wife as my vets. They have continually gone over and above for George and she wouldn't be here today if it hadn't been for them, But, just because they’re family doesn't mean that they can afford to do something like this for free, and I would never think of asking for that. So now I have a pretty hefty vet bill to pay - which I want to make clear was 100% my choice and is 100% my responsibility.

As I was trying to figure out how I was going to pay for said surgery (because I don't have that kind of money just hanging around...) A little #flashbackfriday today of this peanut from a year and a half ago because she turns 3 tomorrow. 3 whole years old... where did the time go?!

I can remember holding her in my arms in the hospital (swipe for that picture...) and now she's walking, talking, developing her own perspective of the world... does anyone know how we slow time down, just for a bit? I feel like I blink and she's grown up even more...

She's all cuddled up in the original version of the Snuggle is Real Baby Blanket (which is free on the blog!). This was one of my first blanket designs and it holds a super special place in my heart.

This beauty went to her new home this week and I am a little sad... but also feeling so blessed that I am able to make these for my friends and their new little ones.

I couldn't be more obsessed with how this blanket turned out. The colors, the (super simple) stitch pattern... I had to write up the pattern! I'm working on grading it out right now, and we'll be ready for testers so make sure you're on my tester newsletter.
